    In a continued effort to electrify mining operations, Sandvik has launched a pilot project to deploy a second-life battery energy storage system (BESS) at selected Glencore assets. The BESS is intended to support various mine services, including lighting and light EV charging, at Glencore operations. During the pilot, Sandvik will also explore additional use cases such as power shifting, peak shaving, and arbitrage.
