Business Segment or Overview
TechnipFMC plc company deals with business segments such as subsea & surface technologies.
Subsea Segment: This segment delivers integrated design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, fabrication, installation, and life of field services for subsea systems, infrastructure, and pipeline systems in oil and gas production and transportation. It leads in front-end engineering and design (FEED), subsea production systems (SPS), subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF), and subsea robotics, leveraging a fleet of 16 specialized vessels. Its unique iEPCI model integrates SPS and SURF for efficient subsea architecture and faster time to first oil, while iFEED influences project design early. The Subsea portfolio includes SPS, subsea processing, flexible, rigid, and hybrid-flexible pipelines, and a wide range of umbilical systems. Schilling Robotics designs and manufactures subsea ROVs and tooling systems. Subsea Studio is a digital platform linking data, technology, and expertise across the field lifecycle. After project delivery, aftermarket services (iLOF) optimize asset performance, recovery, and uptime through maintenance, asset integrity, production management, and digital solutions.
Surface Technologies Segment: This segment designs, manufactures, and services integrated products and systems for conventional and unconventional oil and gas, carbon transport and storage, hydrogen storage, and geothermal production. It offers drilling and completion systems, surface wellheads, production trees, and services for geothermal and CO2 applications. The iComplete system integrates pressure control for stimulation markets, enhanced with digital solutions like CyberFrac for safety, efficiency, and predictive analytics. The segment provides flexible pipe products (Coflexip, PumpFlex, WellFlex, PadFlex) and is a top supplier of flowline equipment, including Chiksan and Weco products, and services like mobile inspections, tracking, and repair. Its digital systems, UCOS and InsiteX, manage asset control, analytics, and support digital twins to improve safety, reduce downtime, and boost operational efficiency.
TechnipFMC also utilizes Saturation Diving as part of its subsea operations, enabling divers to work at significant depths for extended periods while maintaining safety and efficiency. This technique is essential for complex subsea installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks where remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) alone aren’t sufficient. By keeping divers under constant pressure in a controlled environment, TechnipFMC ensures safe, reliable access to deepwater infrastructure, supporting its comprehensive life of field services.
