- Environmental Services: Boskalis also offers environmental solutions, particularly related to water-based infrastructure projects. Services include contaminated soil and sediment remediation, environmental dredging, and waterbed clean-up projects. This segment is increasingly important due to growing environmental regulations and sustainability demands in marine infrastructure projects.
- Boskalis operates a fleet of five state-of-the-art Diving Support Vessels (DSVs), either owned or on long-term charter. These DP-2 and DP-3 class vessels are fully equipped with AIR diving systems, single and twin bell saturation diving systems, and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) support capabilities. Operated by experienced, dedicated crews on a 24/7, year-round basis, these vessels play a vital role in offshore subsea construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair activities. Saturation diving technology is central to these operations, allowing divers to work at significant depths for extended periods while reducing decompression time, making it essential for complex subsea tie-ins, pipeline repairs, and structural installations.
- Alongside its specialized vessel fleet, Boskalis operates a wide range of surface demand diving systems suitable for air and nitrox diving operations. These systems include semi-permanent setups on vessels, daughter diving crafts, and fully containerized or suitcase-configured units, offering operational flexibility. Several of these systems are classified “Zone 2,” enabling safe use onboard FPSOs and offshore platforms within hazardous areas. This combination of advanced DSVs, saturation diving systems, and adaptable surface demand diving equipment positions Boskalis as a comprehensive, capable partner for challenging offshore subsea operations globally.
