Saft Groupe SAS is a manufacturer of batteries used in various applications. It was founded in 1901, and is headquartered in France. In 1924, the company went public and was listed on the Paris Stock Exchange. Thereafter, Cadmium Nickel Batteries were established in the UK by Henry Bissell Ltd. Then in 1966 Saft UK was established. Since 2016, Saft is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies.
