Market Position or History |
In 1884, the company invested in a new facility in Pacolet, South Carolina. This marked the beginning of its Southern manufacturing operations. In 1944, Milliken built in new mill near Clemson, South Carolina, to manufacture military tire cord during World War II. In 1968, the company acquired Callaway Mills. With this acquisition the company entered carpet market. |
