Market Position/ History |
The Roll On / Roll Off (RoRo) method was created by MAFI in the 1960s, and it quickly became the industry standard for economy and efficiency in ship loading and unloading. Under the name MAFI Transport-Systeme GmbH, the business has been in operation in Tauberbischofsheim since 1975. At a building spanning around 75,000 square meters, it produces and sells tractors in addition to heavy-duty trailers, roll trailers, and goosenecks. To create the MT generation, MAFI completely overhauled its tractor lineup in 1990. The emphasis was on raising performance standards and providing drivers with safe, comfortable, and ergonomic working environments. The MAFI Trac-Lift was constructed in Tauberbischofsheim in 2002 with the specific purpose of facilitating the rapid transport of swap bodies. The MTL had a large cab and a hydrostatic drive design. 2010 saw the release of the Terminal-Trac T 230 following extensive redesign. MAFI is a part of NDW Group Eberbach as of 2023. The vehicles used for distribution, heavy industrial, container handling, and RoRo traffic at seaports are the primary areas. |
