Market Position/ History

Autocar is the oldest motor vehicle brand still in existence in the United States. It was founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1897, first producing trucks and cars from the Brass Era. After producing its final automobiles in 1911, the business continued to focus on producing heavy-duty trucks. Under the Xpeditor model designation, the manufacturer debuted the Autocar ACX Low Cab-Over in 2008.

B-pillar corner rear windows, integrated body controls, and a roomy, ergonomic cabin were among some of the firsts the Autocar ACX introduced to the market. The Autocar Company originally debuted the DC conventional truck in 1939 as their top heavy-duty vehicle. In 2019, Autocar announced the truck's resurrection.
