Product Description

Tanito Ab Interno Trabeculotomy Micro-hook

  • Product Codes: M-2215R (Right), M-2215L (Left), M-2215S (Straight)

Designed by Dr. Masaki Tanito, M.D., PhD., from the Division of Ophthalmology at Matsue Red Cross Hospital in Matsue, Japan, the Tanito Ab Interno Trabeculotomy Micro-hook is engineered for precision in trabeculotomy procedures using an ab interno approach. The micro-hook's sharp tip facilitates direct entry into Schlemm's canal and allows for effective circumferential incision of the trabecular meshwork.

  • M-2215R (Right): Ideal for nasal approaches to the temporal meshwork.
  • M-2215L (Left): Suitable for nasal approaches to the temporal meshwork.
  • M-2215S (Straight): Effective for temporal approaches to the nasal meshwork or superior approaches to the inferior meshwork.

The micro-hook's design includes a crucial depth indicator: visibility of the metal reflex through the meshwork tissue ensures proper positioning, while any resistance or invisibility signals that the hook is too deep. Proper use requires maintaining the correct depth to avoid damage to the outer wall of Schlemm's canal.

Length: 100mm (Right and Straight), 101mm (Left)
