Implants held the largest market share in 2022: Implants are the largest contributor to the global breast reconstruction market, owing to the rising use of implants during breast augmentation surgeries. For instance, according to NCBI, in the United States, every year approximately 300,000 women are undergoing breast augmentation for esthetic purposes and another 88,000 women receive breast implants for breast reconstruction after cancer. In addition, in the implants segment silicone implants are mostly preferred because they have a lower risk of causing visible rippling beneath the skin. This problem is specifically applicable to women having thin or less natural breast tissue. Silicone implants also feel natural as they have a thick gel filling that closely resembles real breast tissue. Implants Tissue Expander Acellular Dermal Matrix

The global Breast Reconstruction market was valued at USD 575.43 million in 2022 and is projected to reach USD 751.89 million by 2030, registering a CAGR of 3.4% for the forecast period 2023- 2030
Breast reconstruction surgery is the formation of a new breast shape, or mound, using surgery. It can be done after the removal of a whole breast or part of it. One can have reconstruction at the same time as breast cancer surgery, or months or years later. Breast reconstruction often involves several operations to give the best outcome possible. The new breast shape can be formed using an implanting patient's tissue from another part of the body, usually the back or lower abdomen. Reconstructed breasts don’t usually have a nipple but can be created with surgery and tattooing. Breast reconstruction aims to mimic the size, shape, and position of the breast on the opposite side while also achieving the most natural-looking breast form feasible. The existing breast and the repaired one will still differ, even with the best results, and occasionally surgery on the opposite side can help. This can be carried out concurrently with the reconstruction, although it may be preferable to wait for the reconstruction to heal and settle into place first.
