Based on the cycle segment, the fresh IVF cycle segment is reported to dominate the market. A fresh IVF cycle is when an IVF cycle is completed using eggs and embryos that were never frozen. Once the eggs are retrieved, they are immediately fertilized by semen in the lab and after letting them grow for 5 days into the blastocyst stage, then they are implanted into a woman’s uterus. The success rates of fresh cycles have always been higher. For instance, a 2020 study by the National Library of Medicine analyzed 36,925 IVF cycles and found that fresh eggs have better success rates than frozen eggs. The fresh eggs had a 47.7% live birth rate. (Source: https://www.apricityfertility.com/uk/blog/fresh-versus-frozen-eggs)

Introduction to the Asia Pacific IVF Service Market
According to Cognitive Market Research, Asia Pacific is projected to grow at a CAGR of XX% over the period. The reason for the significant growth of the market in this region can be the increased public knowledge of IVF procedures, rising acceptability of IVF procedures, and rising IVF success rates. Furthermore, the continuous advancements in technological development are also driving the success rates of IVF procedures. The rise in the infertility rate is another factor highly influencing the market growth in this region. The higher success rate of IVF treatment is attracting infertile couples to undergo the treatments, despite the high-cost cycle and medication.
India has witnessed a significant rise in IVF services, due to factors like late marriages, increased pregnancy age, growing infertility rates, rising disposable income, and greater awareness about infertility treatments. The demand for IVF procedures has contributed to a remarkable 20% growth in the Indian fertility market over the past five years with a success rate of 60-70%. India is reported to conduct an average of 2-2.5 lakh IVF cycles per year and the market value accounted for $793 million in 2020. The Indian IVF services market is expected to hold immense potential for further expansion because of the affordable services, along with the expertise, pre-post-procedure infrastructure, and fewer language barriers which makes India a favourable destination for medical tourism in IVF procedures.

They have performed over a million IVF cycles annually with a success rate of nearly 30%, resulting in 3,00,000 babies conceived. The government of China has been promoting IVF use as a method to increase the birth rate. China is expected to remain the largest IVF market in the region, considering its large population count, and rising infertility rate.
