GE Healthcare Launches AI-Enabled Urology Software to Enhance Prostate Care
Prostate Volume Assist (PVA), an artificial intelligence software function based on urology, has been introduced by GE HealthCare. This artificial intelligence (AI) software is intended to assist physicians with prostate biopsies, imaging, and treatment planning. PVA's automated, one-click method for calculating prostate volume and measuring prostate dimensions enhances workflow and permits precision therapy. Prostate cancer, which accounts for 6.8% of all cancer-related fatalities in men and 14.1% of all cancer cases in men, is one of the diseases for which prostate volume is essential in the imaging workflow for diagnosing and treating men. With only one click, the function automates the process and produces results in less than two seconds. In order to help physicians manage treatment with more confidence, PVA will be accessible on the bkActiv, bk3000/5000, and bkSpecto, supporting GE HealthCare's scalable line of solutions. Advanced algorithms are used by the next-generation bkActiv to maximise image clarity, while bkSpecto and bk3000/5000 offer excellent ultrasound guiding for urological treatments. PVA for the bkActiv, bk3000/5000, and bkSpecto is accessible in major global markets.
