SolydEra, made a breakthrough in clean energy supply. A newly created fuel cell system, designed for data centres, has passed rigorous testing, with efficiency levels of up to 60% and a capacity of 90 kW. These two systems, designed under the European "Eco Edge Prime Power" program, have been shipped to Equinix's Milan data centre. The system primarily runs on a mixture of natural gas and up to 20% hydrogen, paving the way for the use of green hydrogen in upcoming fuel cell applications to serve both backup and primary power requirements.

In June 2024, Elcogen's new facility was laid down in the Loovälja Industrial Park on the outskirts of Tallinn. The new factory will increase the company's output capacity of stacks and solid oxide cells to support the growing demand for emission-free energy and green hydrogen fuel cells globally. Upon completion, the facility will raise the production capacity from the present 10 MW to 360 MW. The factory construction was done in January 2024, and the production is expected to begin by mid-2025.
