Introduction of Micromanipulators:

The techniques of micromanipulation involving the delicate or exact manipulation of the specimen. Micromanipulator is one of the tools needed for this micromanipulation. It is a tool that allows the user to operate a device that is associated with significantly more precisely manipulating item motions. It aims to enable researchers to move very small tools and devices used in microscopy investigations. Researchers mounted the micropipette, electrode, or probe on a micromanipulator that is used to move as little as a micron at a time and provide three-dimensional manipulation (coarse and fine motions) of the holding and injection pipettes on the left and right sides, respectively. 

Micromanipulators enable scientists and clinicians to do microinjection, patch-clamp studies, extracellular and intracellular recordings, and precision robotics by precisely regulating microelectrode and syringe movement as well as capillary flow. The micromanipulator equipment is useful for in vitro fertilization, studies with spot clamps, extracellular recording, microinjection, and any fine-mechanical application (resolution). Although the micromanipulators have the same main function, they usually fall into three groups by their method of drive or what governs their movements including manual, electric, and hydraulic. 

Micromanipulators can usually consist of an input joystick, a mechanism for restricting the scope of the motion, and an output portion to retain a microtool, whereby the object can be held, injected, sliced, or otherwise manipulated. However, some micromanipulators include a big dial for turning by hand for each moving plane. Drift and backlash management are important features of most micromanipulators, allowing them to operate many instruments at the same time. 

Furthermore, micromanipulators can be independent or attached to the microscope itself. Several micromanipulators developed for use with microscopes combine coarse and tiny motions in a single device, allowing them to manage bigger and smaller movements, respectively. This allows the researcher to identify a micropipette in the field of vision of the microscope under the low-power lens, transfer the micropipette to the region of the desired specimen in a focused position inside the field of view, and turn to the high-power lens.
