In October 2022, The Big Burger King UK Franchisee Re-Acquires Stores as Part of Growth Plans
Burger King UK announced that it had purchased 74 Burger King locations from Karali Group, its second-largest franchisee, bringing the total number of directly-owned Burger King locations to 266. With the purchase of 12 restaurants from franchise companies Kaykem Fast Foods and Saxby at the beginning of the year, the company now owns half of the outlets in the UK. All of these buybacks are part of strategies to grow market share and raise the battle against KFC and McDonald's.
