Indian food delivery platform Zomato to rebrand as 'Eternal', unveils new logo
Indian food and grocery delivery platform Zomato (ZOMT.NS) announced that it will change its name to "Eternal" and revealed a new logo. This rebranding comes more than two years after the company began using the new name internally. Eternal will encompass its four primary business segments: food delivery service Zomato, quick-commerce unit Blinkit, live events business District, and kitchen supplies division Hyperpure.
This rebranding represents a shift in the company’s strategy, particularly after initial skepticism from investors about Zomato's acquisition of Blinkit in mid-2022. The growing interest in quick-commerce-driven growth has since boosted investor confidence. Blinkit, along with Swiggy’s (SWIG.NS) Instamart, has reshaped shopping habits in India, prompting major retailers like Reliance Industries' (RELI.NS) JioMart, Amazon (AMZN.O), and Walmart's (WMT.N) Indian arm to launch their own quick-commerce services.
