Introduction of Evaporative Cooling Pad
Evaporative Cooling Pads are a type of high-efficiency evaporative cooling material. Evaporative cooling pads are also known as swamp cooling. These pads are made from high absorption cellulose Kraft paper and are coated with wetting additives and anti-rot agents for extended life. In a containment network, evaporative cooler pads comprise traditionally of wood, although more advanced materials, such as plastics, metal, glass, cotton as well as melamine paper, are used as cooler pad material. It uses the simple evaporation principle, i.e., transferring warm fresh air across the wet and cool surface to reduce temperatures. Evaporative cooling works best in warm and dry settings in which heated air with evaporation can easily transform into cool air.
Evaporative cooling pads are an excellent medium for keeping temperatures low in industrial, commercial, and residential settings, poultry farms, hatcheries, animal areas, greenhouses, and other agricultural settings. Hence, these pads are generally employed in industries, farming, and commercial entities of large sizes. Evaporative cooling pads are usually utilized in greenhouses to meet the demand for various veggies during off-season periods too, which may lead to demand in hot and arid places.
Additionally, evaporative cooling pads are widely adopted by data centers. In a data center computer work at extremely fast rates 24/7, which makes them exceptionally hot. These computers require sophisticated cooling systems to work without overheating. Evaporative cooling takes place and applies to cool data centers using the evaporation method. The cooling of air in data centers takes place when the water in the pad evaporates by absorbing the energy of hot air in data centers. The evaporative cooling employs fans that direct the flow of hot air to pass through the pads that are generally made of absorbent material (wood shavings). As the energy requirement of these evaporative cooling pad assemblies is less as compared to other data center cooling solutions, these are considered as most efficient solutions.
The evaporative cooling pad's prominent qualities include a cellulose basis and rigid structure. Hence, these pads provide several benefits such as energy-efficient, effective cooling, lower maintenance, a longer life, and increased effectiveness.
