Segmentation Analysis

Endotracheal Tubes Market,by type Regular tubes The Regular tubes segment Revenue will be USD 1,160.80 Million by 2028. Regular Endotracheal tube is a plastic tube placed into trachea or wind pipe that helps in patient breathing. The endotracheal tube is connected to ventilator that provides oxygen to lungs. The process of inserting tube is known as endotracheal intubation. The application of regular endotracheal tube includes general surgery such as anesthesia, foreign body removal, after surgery, it is used to deliver medication in emergency cases. Reinforced tubes Reinforced tube includes Rusch, Sheridan tubes manufactured has features including full range of both cuffed and uncuffed tubes and they are made up of stainless-steel, spiral-wound, reinforced wire within tube and bonded 15 mm connectors, these tubes are designed to reduce kinks an disconnects. These wire-reinforced tube feature bonded connectors, high-volume, low-pressure cuffs that include single-use, sterile. Coated tubes Endotracheal tube is coated with silver material or biofilm and it is used to provide oxygen for the treatment of ventilator associated pneumonia. Endotracheal tubes are coated with a drug-releasing coating that releases antimicrobial agents to inhibit bacterial growth and biofilm formation. Coated endotracheal tube includes variety of endotracheal tubes coated with drugs or materials, which offer antimicrobial properties to endotracheal tube. Coatings include heparin, silver, chlorhexidine, rifampicin, and minocycline agents. Coated endotracheal tubes are advantageous because coatings have a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity in vitro, that reduces bacterial adhesion and restricts the biofilm formation on the tube surface. This in turn blocks the occurrence of type of hospital-associated infection called ventilator-associated pneumonia. Laser resistant tubes Laser Flex Endotracheal tube is a stainless-steel dual cuffed or uncuffed tube used for ventilation during CO2 and KTP laser surgeries of the tracheal area. It provides resistance to laser, it is non-flammable, flexible stainless steel. This technology provides an airtight steel spiral design that prevents air leaks occurred along he tube length. Double lumen tubes Double lumen tube is an endotracheal tube designed to isolate lungs anatomically and physiologically. Double lumen tubes are most commonly used tubes to offer independent ventilation for lungs. One lung ventilation or lung isolation is the mechanical and functional separation of the two lungs to allow selective ventilation of only one lung. The other lung that is not being ventilated passively deflates or is displaced by the surgeon to facilitate surgical exposure for non-cardiac operations in the chest such as thoracic, esophageal, aortic and spine procedures. Its application is in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and it is used in disease processes affecting one lung to prevent soiling from the contralateral lung. DLTs also allows bronchial toilet without interrupting ventilation.

Introduction of Endotracheal Tubes

Endotracheal tube is a flexible plastic tube that is placed into trachea or wind pipe through mouth that helps patient in breathing. The endotracheal tube connected to ventilator delivers oxygen to lungs. The process of inserting tube is called endotracheal intubation. The endotracheal tube placed in the surgery include ventilator associated pneumonia, general anesthesia, trauma, cardiac related condition, lungs failure, stroke to remove mucus secretion.

These tubes are made of different types such as coated endotracheal tubes coated with medication film to be delivered into body for treatment, laser resistant, reinforced, double lumen tubes, regular tube used for various therapies and emergency treatment to patients. The manufactures have designed innovative tubes that provides efficacy, safety to patient in the treatment further boosting the market growth.

There is rising adoption of modern technologies in the manufacturing of endotracheal tube that propels the growth of endotracheal tube in the market.

For instance, there is rising use of video laryngoscopy and fiberoptic bronchoscopy for advancement of an endotracheal tube through narrow trachea. This technological advancement optimizes efficiency in the process of tracheal intubation. The rising cases of chronic disorders such as respiratory failure, cardiac disorders, difficulty in breathing occurs due to smoking habits, sedentary lifestyle. This factor increases cases of respiratory and breathing, pneumonia related problem that increases demand for endotracheal tubes in the market propelling its growth in the market.
