Von Bundit Co., Ltd. began its journey in 1987 with the establishment of its first concentrated latex factory in Surat Thani, marking its entry into the rubber industry. By 1990, the company expanded into Ribbed Smoked Sheet (RSS) production, followed by Standard Thai Rubber (STR) production in 1991, making it Thailand’s first fully integrated rubber producer of RSS, STR, and Latex. Growth continued with the opening of the world’s largest rubber processing plant in Phunpin, Surat Thani, in 1994, followed by a new concentrated latex factory in Krabi in 1997. In 1999, Von Bundit relocated its headquarters to Phuket, solidifying its position as the world’s largest natural rubber processor and exporter. The company expanded further in the 2010s, establishing RSS and STR plants in Chumphon (2012) and Udon Thani (2013), along with the acquisition of Trang Latex Co., Ltd.In 2018, Von Bundit integrated all affiliates under a single entity, reaching a production capacity of 2 million tonnes per year, reinforcing its capability to meet the growing global demand for natural rubber. |
