Thule Group was founded in 1942 in Småland, southern Sweden by Erik Thulin. In 1962, it introduced the Thule ski rack – the first Thule product for carrying your sports gear In 1964, the company introduced the Thule Roof Basket – a true innovation with its flexible fastening solution for easier mounting In 1977, The first Thule Ski Box TB-11 is launched. World-famous alpine skier Ingemar Stenmark became the brand ambassador In 1983, Surfboard carriers launched and world-famous surfer Robby Naish becomes a brand ambassador In 1992, Thule launched the first towbar-mounted bike carrier. In the course of time, the company introduced the Thule Hull-a-Port Kayak Carrier, bike carriers and awnings for RV products, and Thule Crossover. In 2014, Thule introduced its jogging strollers & child bike seats In 2015, it launched technical backpacks In 2018, the company introduced a rooftop tent. In the same year company acquired the leading North American Roof Top Tent company, Tepui Outdoors Inc. |
