Tarkett S.A., known until 2008 as Sommer-Allibert S.A., is a French multinational corporation specialising in the production of floor and wall coverings. In April 2002, Tarkett-Sommer founded a joint-venture company with the Serbian manufacture company Sintelon, named Takett-Sintelon. In 2003, all company operations started to use the trading name Tarkett. In 2004, the company's Tarkett Sports division formed an alliance with the Canada-based synthetic turf manufacturer FieldTurf. In 2006, Tarkett AG was wholly acquired by Sommer-Allibert. |

The company offers one of the largest portfolios of flooring and sports surface solutions, and they share with customers their expertise in multiple market segments. Tarkett’s leadership is based on one of the broadest product offerings in the industry as well as on its global and regional rankings in all the major types of floor coverings (excluding ceramics) and surface segments. Heterogeneous and homogeneous vinyl, laminate, wood, carpet rolls and tiles, linoleum, artificial grass and tracks: this broad scope enables them to recommend to each customer the perfectly adapted product as part of a fully integrated flooring solution.
