Steelco S.p.A., founded in 2001 by Ottorino Casonato, Fabio Zardini, and Ivone Capovilla, is an Italian company specializing in the production of cleaning and sterilization systems for the medical, laboratory, research, and pharmaceutical sectors.

In its early years, Steelco expanded its product range to include tabletop and under-counter washer-disinfectors, high-capacity medical washer-disinfectors, and laboratory washer-disinfectors. By 2008, the company introduced its first automated loading systems for Sterile Processing Departments (SPDs) and established its first international branch in Malaysia, followed by another in Hungary in 2009.

In 2010, Steelco ventured into the pharmaceutical and life sciences market by developing washers tailored for these industries. Two years later, in 2012, the company began producing reprocessing devices for flexible endoscopes, marking its entry into a complex sector dominated by large multinational companies.

A significant milestone occurred in 2013 when Steelco acquired ICOS, a company known for manufacturing autoclaves for the pharmaceutical and hospital sectors. This acquisition allowed Steelco to offer a more integrated range of washing, disinfection, and sterilization solutions.

In 2017, Steelco became part of the Miele Group, enhancing its global growth prospects and reinforcing its commitment to quality and innovation.

As of 2023, Steelco operates 10 plants and has 14 worldwide subsidiaries, employing over 810 individuals from 34 diverse cultures. Steelco exports its products to more than 100 countries, offering a portfolio of over 281 models and holding more than 175 registered patents.

AGS Series Ethylene Oxide Sterilizer

The AGS Series of sterilizers using Ethylene Oxide (EtO) represents the best relationship between engineering and quality price, operating running costs, and, most important, the safety of the system and operators. AGS Series has been designed for low-temperature sterilization of heat-sensitive products according to the EN 1422 Standards for the medical processing industry, such as plastic syringes, perfusion sets, dialysis cartridges, heat-sensitive rubber products, and specific surgical instruments.

This range of Ethylene Oxide sterilizers are available in two versions:

AGS series | Pressure sterilization program – up to 10% of Ethylene Oxide, with the remaining 90% made of inert gas (normally Nitrogen)

AGS-E series | Vacuum sterilization program – up to 90% of Ethylene Oxide, with the residual 10% made of inert gas (normally Nitrogen)

Following customer requests, dedicated chambers for separate processes can be supplied: Pre-conditioning, Sterilization, and Degassing chambers.

TTA 23

The TTA 23 sterilizer is a compact yet powerful solution for the fast and efficient sterilization of both solid and hollow wrapped and unwrapped instruments, as well as porous loads. Designed to meet the daily needs of dental and medical clinics, this sterilizer offers rapid and effective cycles. Despite its small exterior, the TTA 23 boasts a spacious interior. It is certified and built to conform to EN 13060 standards, ensuring high quality and reliability.

Equipped with a built-in conductivity meter, the sterilizer monitors water quality to maintain efficiency and safety throughout the sterilization process. The integrated air-water separator, designed within the tank unit, protects the vacuum pump and enhances its performance. Additionally, the TTA 23 features an intuitive Process Controller, allowing users to easily navigate through its interactive menu. This system enables the programming of cycle starts and tests such as Vacuum, Helix, and Bowie and Dick, while also providing timely maintenance reminders. The TTA 23 is available with a steam production option in the chamber, utilizing an internal generator for added convenience.
