In 1920, Saint-Gobain extended its businesses to fibreglass manufacture which was being used to create insulation, industrial textiles, and building reinforcements. In 1968, Boussois-Souchon-Neuvesel, a French industrial group, made a hostile takeover bid for Saint-Gobain. In 1996, Saint-Gobain acquired Poliet along\ with its subsidiaries, Point P and Lapeyre. This acquisition helped the company to expand its product line into construction materials and their distribution. In October 2022, the company's subsidiary, Saint-Gobain Films & Fabrics, underwent a name change and was renamed Saint-Gobain Composite Solutions. EKO PRO |
EKO PRO is a Low-E coated glass range made of a clear float glass on which a thin transparent heat reflective coating has been deposited under a proprietary high-end technology. EKO PRO is an energy-efficient glass specially developed for use as single glazing in cover lids of supermarket horizontal freezers and ice cream cabinets. After cutting and edge working, EKO PRO needs to be tempered in order to achieve the declared performances. Bending has been validated, precise geometric possibilities depending on the furnace type used. The coating must be faced up during the process. Please contact us for technical support. EKO PRO is available in different versions depending on the exact door application and requirements. It is available on 4 mm thick clear glass in 6000 x 3210 mm size, as standard dimension. PARSOL |
PARSOL is a body-tinted glass made in the same way as transparent float glass PLANICLEAR is. The float process delivers perfectly flat and parallel surfaces to the glass. PARSOL has a colorful appearance and the basic properties of solar control. Saint-Gobain Glass has strict tolerances on its colored glass and ensures through precise quality control that the tinted glass is the same within a batch and across batches - year after year. There are plenty of possible applications. APPLICATION When an attractive appearance is needed, PARSOL gives colour to space. When basic solar control properties are required, PARSOL is the solution, with low light reflection. PARSOL, like PLANICLEAR, is designed for universal applications where attractive aesthetics or simple solar control characteristics are required: Interior decoration, fitting, and furnishing applications. External uses of single or insulated glass units for facades and overhead glazing. |
