In 1996, Motorola Solutions Inc. began alpha testing a TETRA radio system. In 2011, Motorola, Inc. separated into two independents, publicly-traded companies: Motorola Solutions, Inc. and Motorola Mobility, Inc. In 2014, Motorola Solutions, Inc. sold its Enterprise business to Zebra Technologies.
