Market Position/ History

Founded in 1954 in Munich, MMM Group initially focused on producing operating tables and delivered its first sterilizer to the German market in 1957. Over time, the company expanded its global footprint, establishing production plants in Stadlern in 1964 and relocating its headquarters to Planegg in 1973. As MMM's international presence grew, it established subsidiaries in Switzerland, Austria, Russia, the UK, Poland, and France. The company also pursued strategic acquisitions, such as acquiring a majority stake in BMT in 1996, and introduced a range of innovative products, including the Fluipharm sterilizer and the Uniclean washer-disinfector series.

In the following decades, MMM further solidified its market position with products like the Selectomat PL Compact Line and Vakulab PL Compact Line. The company expanded its operations in 2014 by creating MMM Healthcare International GmbH to manage global turnkey projects. Recent innovations include the Hyper LTS 150 low-temperature sterilizer and the Uniclean PLE 3. Today, MMM is a major provider of sterilization and reprocessing solutions, offering a broad array of healthcare products and services to global markets, supported by over 65 years of expertise and experience.

Supplementary Products

SteriPack 85

To prevent medical devices from being recontaminated after reprocessing, they are packed in transparent pouches before sterilization, which are designed to preserve sterility until the moment they are used on a patient.

A crucial aspect of this process is the reliable sealing of the sterile barrier system, which must be carried out through a reproducible and validated process in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11607-2.

The MMM SteriPack heat sealer can be smoothly integrated into the sterile materials reprocessing workflow of any RUMED system, providing the operator with the necessary assurance regarding the sterility of the reprocessed materials.

All models in the SteriPack series meet the DIN EN ISO 11607-2 standard, which mandates the control, monitoring, and documentation of critical process variables and parameters.

MMM also offers validation of the sealing processes and ongoing maintenance of the devices.
