It became a leader in specialty cancer care with the acquisitions of The US Oncology Network and US Oncology Research. In the same years, it established expertise in oncology with the acquisition of Oncology Therapeutics Network and Onmark Group Purchasing Organization. Between 2017-18, it formed a healthcare IT joint venture with Change Healthcare to deliver wide-ranging financial, operational, and clinical benefits. It has also completed the acquisition of CoverMyMeds to provide patients with cost-effective solutions for medications. It further acquired RxCrossroads to provide biopharma manufacturers with customizable services and solutions. In the course of time, the company acquired Medical Specialties Distributors, Echo, Rx Savings Solutions, Compile, and formed joint venture between McKesson’s US Oncology Research (USOR) and HCA Healthcare’s Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) to transform oncology research, accelerate drug development and increase availability and access to clinical trials in the community setting. |
