Invacare Corporation was founded in 1885. Back in that time company was involve in the production of line of vehicles for people with physical disabilities. In late 1970s Malachi Mixon III the founder of Invacare Corporation purchases the wheelchair division of Technicare company known as Invacare from Johnson & Johnson who had acquired the Technicare. Over the time, company has launched various innovative products like split-spring bed, the microprocessor-controlled power chair, the Invacare® HomeFill® Oxygen System etc. and has also acquired many companies such as Küschall, Carters, Poirier and Scandinavian Mobility and more which leads to the growth and expansion of the company globally. The Company employs over 4,000 associates and markets its products in 80 countries around the world. |

Invacare Corporation is engaged in the production and distribution of the innovative home and long-term care medical products. The product offering of the company enables the people with disabilities to recover and live active lifestyle. Company focuses on main two segments homecare and long-term care.
In homecare the product offer is rehab (wheelchairs, scooters, seating and positioning systems), respiratory (oxygen and aerosol therapy) and standard (bath safety, walkers, beds) which facilitate the active stay of consumer in their homes. Long term care offer products such as beds, furnishings, bathing, mobility, respiratory, dialysis chairs, patient-care, transfer and transport equipment. The company also offer its survives through various programs that focuses on interior design, injury reduction and facility compliance for long-term care group.
