Flamemaster’s history dates back to 1942 when it was founded as Dyna-Therm Chemical Company in Culver City, California, initially focusing on R&D for defense applications. The company expanded into a larger facility in 1948, developing critical products for missile systems, nuclear plants, and the early space programs. Dyna-Therm’s contributions included coatings for NASA’s Saturn V – Apollo 11 rocket, helping to launch humans to the moon in 1969, and continued use through Apollo 17. In the 1950s, the company began producing aerospace sealants and went on to support major aircraft manufacturers. In 1973, the company rebranded as Flamemaster Corporation and moved to a larger facility in Sun Valley, California. Over the years, Flamemaster grew into a major supplier of sealants for the aerospace industry. In 2006, the company moved to its current 54,000+ sq. ft. facility in Pacoima, California, and in 2019, partnered with Socomore to expand its reach in North America and Europe. In 2024, Socomore acquired Flamemaster, providing it with a global platform and enhanced R&D resources to continue advancing in the aerospace sealant market |

SocoFlame, Inc. completes acquisition of The Flamemaster Corporation SocoFlame, Inc., a subsidiary of Groupe Socomore, has successfully completed the acquisition of The Flamemaster Corporation. The acquisition follows the closure of the previously announced tender offer for all outstanding shares of common stock of Flamemaster. The transaction was finalized through a merger of one of SocoFlame's wholly owned subsidiaries with and into Flamemaster Corporation. This acquisition marks a significant milestone for SocoFlame, further strengthening its position in the aerospace adhesive and sealant market. |
