Market Position/ History

Camfil is manufacturer of clean air solutions. It was established in 1963 and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The company moved to a new factory building in Trosa, Sweden in 1968. Cambridge Filter decided to divest its shares in Camfil in 1983. In 2010, Geographical expansion focused on Asia/Pacific up until this year.

The company opened a new technology center in Trosa in 2012. It has acquired oil and mist collection experts, Handte Group in 2014. The company expands market leading position on the Iberian Peninsula through acquisition of Servifiltro in 2017. Camfil acquires MC Air Filtration in the United Kingdom and Chimbault-Peyridieux in France in 2018.
