Based on the type, the market is bifurcated into Methanol, Ethanol, Diethylene Glycol, and Others. The methanol segment dominated the market. Product based on methanol is anticipated to expand significantly throughout the projection period, depending on its kind. If inhaled or in touch with food, other basic compounds like ethanol are deemed hazardous. Larger chafing dishes work well with gels based on methanol, which is also a safer option. This gel substance is reasonably priced compared to other varieties, and it has a somewhat strong flame. Additionally, sources made directly from methanol are favoured for frequent consumption because ethanol is more costly than methanol due to the extra processing needed on methanol. For catering and services, its heat output of up to 175 degrees Fahrenheit and its continuous burning time of up to two hours are sufficient.

Market Overview of the Chafing fuel Market
Chafing fuel is used to heat meals and is usually placed underneath a chafing dish. It is often offered in a tiny canister and burnt directly from the canister, with or without a wick. This fuel frequently comprises methanol, ethanol, or diethylene glycol, which may be burnt safely indoors and leave no soot or odor. It is a one-time use commodity made of gel-based fuel contained in a metal container. High viscosity gel is made up of inflammable substances such as methanol, diethylene glycol, or ethanol, which produce heat when burned. Furthermore, these chemical compounds require lower temperatures to become volatile and burn. Ethanol may be burned above 12.7°C, whereas diethylene glycol requires a minimum temperature of 154°C. Depending on how long the flame lasts, this fuel comes in different sizes; the most common ones are two or six hours. During buffet events and catering services, chafing dishes—made of thin metal or ceramic—are put over this flame to keep food warm. This substance melts cheese and cooks the recipe for Fondue, a popular Swiss treat that is relished in a communal environment. In addition, this substance is necessary to give heat and light during power outages and emergencies. As such, it is a flexible product with a wide range of uses in many contexts.
