How are Segments Performing in the Global Bleaching Agents Market? Bleaching Agent Type Segment Analysis According to Cognitive Market Research, based on type the Bleaching agent market is separated into Azodicarbonamide, Hydrogen Peroxide, Ascorbic Acid, Acetone Peroxide, and Chlorine Dioxide. In terms of the global market hydrogen peroxide holds the largest market share for global bleaching agent market. This is because the product is used in different applications such as textile, food and processing, paper & pulp. In addition, unlike many chemicals, hydrogen peroxide is entirely natural and occurs in rainwater, snow, and even the human body. It decomposes to only water and oxygen, making it an environmentally friendly product. This unique property makes it valuable in times of increased environmental awareness. For instance, The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) has developed a solar-to-chemical conversion technology for hydrogen peroxide production, aiming to meet the global demand for this crucial chemical. Moreover, This last attribute is just one of the chief reasons why manufacturing firms are turning to hydrogen peroxide, as for most medical and personal applications, the compound provides a more than adequate level of sterilization, eliminating the need for typical gamma irradiation methods to achieve the same goal. For instance, In 2024, the Food and Drug Administration deemed a safer gas, vaporized hydrogen peroxide, a legitimate way to decontaminate devices. It’s a small step in pushing the medical device industry away from the carcinogenic chemical, called ethylene oxide. Market Overview of Bleaching Agent
A bleaching agent is a chemical substance that is widely used domestically or commercially to whiten or remove color from paper, textiles, food & beverages, waste water and personal care products and also disinfecting it after cleaning.. The product is frequently used in homes to remove stains and brighten clothing, such as, Chlorine bleach is one of the most widely available and affordable disinfectants on earth. Liquid chlorine bleach is an alkaline solution of sodium hypochlorite dissolved in water. It is a base and is especially good at removing stains and dyes from textiles. Liquid sodium hypochlorite in a diluted solution can be used as a bleaching agent. The product has calcium hypochlorite in its formulation when it is in powder form. and also disinfecting it after cleaning. Most people are familiar with chlorine as an oxidizing bleach, specifically in the form of Calcium or Sodium hypochlorite. Sometimes it's preferable to use less reactive oxidizing bleaches, like sodium perborate and hydrogen peroxide. Usually based on peroxides, oxidizing bleaching agents without chlorine include sodium percarbonate, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium perborate. These bleaches are known as “oxygen bleach” or “non-chlorine bleach”. For instance, Sodium hypochlorite bleaches (also called chlorine or liquid household bleach) are the more powerful laundry bleaches; they disinfect, as well as clean and whiten. They work on many whites and colorfast washables - but not on wools or silks. Oxygen (color-safe) bleaches are gentler, working safely on all washable fabrics. They work best in maintaining whiteness, not in restoring it.
