By Type, the Oxidizing Biocide segment accounted for the largest market share of Biocides Market in 2022! Based on the type, the market is bifurcated into oxidizing biocide and non-oxidizing biocide. Oxidizing biocide kills the microbes via the electrochemical process of oxidation. Chlorine, Chlorine dioxide, Bromine, and Peracetic acid are some examples of oxidizing biocide which is commonly used. Oxidizing biocide is mostly used in water treatment due to numerous benefits like their fast action, cheaper, and effectiveness in even low concentrations. Moreover, they are reactive and can interact with other organic chemicals, additives, and pollutants in the system. Increasing the usage of oxidizing biocide in water treatment is expected to rise the growth of the oxidizing segment over other segments. Oxidizing Biocide Non-Oxidizing Biocide
