The automatic brush tube cleaning system contains two catch baskets, nylon brush for the heat exchanger tubes. Both baskets are permanently attached to the pipe ends and serve to accept the brushes. By reversing the direction of the cooling water flow, the brush is pressed through the tube and at the other end it is accepted by the basket. When the cooling water stream is diverted again in the normal direction, the brush will return into the catch basket located at the delivery end. The inner walls of the tubes get cleaned removing any fouling or deposited material. The automatic brush tube cleaning system components include cleaning brushes, catch baskets, reverse valve, actuator and control box. The reversal of water flow is set through electric actuator and control box. Pressure loss is avoided and brush is places in the basket in order to clean the machine. The cleaning interval is fixed by the engineers according to the operating conditions and degree of contamination of the cooling medium and it also depends on the accumulated layer of deposits. The use of brush is advantageous because it easily removes loose, gelatinous deposits from the internal surface of the tube without any restriction. This brush tube cleaning system is used for shell, tube heat exchanger, chiller, steam condenser, which prevents deposition on the tubes and increased efficiency of industries, factories, power generation plants without interruptions. It increases the efficacy and shelf life of machines.
