Bellatrix Aerospace Reimagining space mobility and satellites as a service
They have created Hall effect thrusters especially for small spacecraft weighing between one hundred and two hundred kilograms. Additionally, satellites weighing more than 1000 kg can choose from a second group of thrusters called microwave plasma thrusters, which employ water as a propellant. The Russians invented the well-known Hall thruster in the early 1970s. Since then, a lot has changed, and Bellatrix has miniaturized it so that it can fit into even a 50 kg satellite.
Additionally, Bellatrix is developing a green rocket propellant that is non-toxic and is in the qualifying stage.
A significant change is occurring in the global space industry: traditional government-led programs are giving way to a variety of actors, with a greater emphasis on private enterprises.
