PLZ Corp has a rich history that dates back to 1939 with the founding of Plaze Incorporated by John Ferring III. The company's journey began with the invention of Plastic Auto Glaze Polish. In 1947, Plaze Inc. was granted one of the first licenses by the U.S. Government to manufacture aerosol products. In the early 1950s, alongside developing their own Plaze brand products, the company also started focusing on being a contract filler. A new chapter in Plaze's history commenced in 1978 when John Ferring IV took over the company, which then had just 12 employees producing 3.3 million cans. Focusing on growth, Ferring aggressively pursued new business opportunities and successfully brought in new customers over the next eight years, spurring the company's expansion. In 2005, PLZ formed the Retail Division, marketing its World's Best Cleaner and developing a full line of high-quality cleaning products for the home under the brand Sprayway. Since then, PLZ has acquired several companies, including Camie-Campbell, K-G Spray-Pak, Maid Brands, Assured Packaging, Apollo Technologies, Follmer Development, Par-way Tryson, and Penray. |
