Product Description |
GRAMMER Headrests |
Head restraints from GRAMMER Automotive offers custom-tailored solutions for every vehicle model. Shape, range of movement, and materials are just some of the many factors that need to be taken into account. |
Crash Active Headrests |
The crash active mechanism weighs only 650 grams and is integrated into the upper part of the seat's backrest with a link to the vehicle's central electronic control system which, in case of an accident, records the impact of the collision. Should a critical value be reached, the car’s electronic system activates the CKRS mechanism at an exactly defined point. An inflator unit extends a piston which moves the headrest into the direction of the back of the passenger's head, reducing the space between the headrest and a person’s head to a minimum. Thus, the movement of the head is slowed down at an early stage and the uncontrollable backward movement of the head is prevented, minimizing the risk of a cervical spine injury. |
