Cognizant utilising acquisition strategy to further AI investments: CEO
Cognizant Technology Solutions plans to invest $1 billion in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) over three years, including platform, staff, partnerships, IT, and mergers and acquisitions. The firm is likely to be a major beneficiary of the GenAI potential, with over 100 active AI engagements and hundreds of projects utilising its AI services. Cognizant has over 3,000 GenAI concepts in the works through its grassroots innovation campaign, BlueBolt. The business has also extended its agreement with Gilead Sciences to manage its worldwide IT infrastructure and applications. Cognizant's efforts in GenAI capabilities include the establishment of the Cognizant Google Cloud AI University, which will educate 25,000 Cognizant employees on Google Cloud AI technologies.
